On Monday, Oct. 29, visual artist Charlie White and producer/musician
Boom Bip (aka Bryan Charles Hollon) will launch "Music for Sleeping Children," a wildly ambitious dance EP, artwork and photo archive that revolves around the lives of teen girls. Each track on the EP mixes dance elements with audio from interviews with different girls, while the photos come from White's CYRILLA STROTHERS PROJECT, 2004-2006, a two-year photo study of a SoCal teen. White's project resulted in 11,000-plus images and 50 of them will be released in 2024, the 20th anniversary of the undertaking's beginning. For "Music for Sleeping Children," white selected 12 pictures -- three of which you can see exclusively here -- to enhance the songs.
