- newsday (@newsday) October 30, 2012
The Jones Beach Theater, one of the most famous music venues in the New York metropolitan area, is yet another victim of the Hurricane Sandy flooding. In aerial pictures posted by Newsday and a Bloomberg employee, the theater's orchestra section and much of the surrounding area can be seen submerged thanks to the extremely high Atlantic Ocean levels. The extent of the damage to the Wantagh theater, which recently hosted shows by
Florence and the Machine and
Kiss, has not been revealed yet.
